Upcoming Voter Affiliation Deadline

Heads up, Summit County voters! The deadline to change your political party affiliation is April 1, 2026 (by 5 p.m. if in-person or by mail, by 11:59 p.m. if online). You cannot change your party affiliation for the 2026 elections after this date.

The party affiliation change form is available HERE

Political parties will hold their Primary Elections on June 23, 2026. You will receive a ballot for the party you are registered with. 

If you want a Democratic Ballot but are not registered as a Democrat, you must request one in writing. The request form is available HERE

Voters will receive a November General Election ballot with all candidates, regardless of their political affiliation.

Now is a great time to check in on your voter registration status, whether you need to register to vote, update your address if you’ve recently moved, or want to change your party affiliation.

Restaurant & RAP tax grants now open

We are now accepting applications for grant funds from the Restaurant Tax and the Recreation, Arts, and Parks Tax. The deadlines for applications are March 31 and March 30, respectively.

Please visit the Summit County website for instructions regarding grant eligibility and to complete the application. Visit summitcounty.info/RAPcultural for RAP info or summitcounty.info/restaurantgrant for the Restaurant Tax Grant.

Housing & Transportation Speaker Series (March 12)

The Summit County Housing Authority invites you to attend a free Housing & Transportation Community Event on Thursday, March 12. Hear from local experts on affordable housing, community development, and transportation. They’ll debunk some of the biggest myths and misconceptions in their fields and share insights into how planning & policy decisions can improve housing and transportation.

This free community event is the first in a quarterly series that will explore the intersection of housing and other local priorities. Community partners and county staff will be available to answer questions and help you find resources for affordable housing. We hope to see you there on March 12!

910 Ranch Stakeholder Meetings (March 10 & March 31)

Join our Lands & Natural Resources staff along with invited stakeholders to observe the planning and for the recently acquired 910 Ranch. While this is not an official advisory board, transparency and inclusivity are very important to this process, so there will be time set aside at the start of each meeting for public comment.
